Big Step Forward…

The pool at the gym that I use is closed for the month of August, so last week I had a trainer show me exercises for strength, balance and endurance.  Today, I did the exercises.

Just one more step toward a cure.

Remember, one thing I am doing to heal is to eliminate sugar, white flour, gluten, etc. from my diet.  These are the same things my friend Toni did 20 years ago to cure the cancer with which she was diagnosed.

What does my healing mean for cancer?

Good night.

Thomas Edison said…

“The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his (or her) patients in the cure of the human frame, in a proper diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease.”

I took this quote from pg. 2 of “The Wahls Protocol” by Dr. Terry Wahls.  I have just begun the book, but already I see where the diet is going…basically the elimination of sugar and the reduction of carbs in the diet to cure MS.

Diet and exercise to cure.  I will take my own advice now and practice my YOGA.

Who Am I?

This is part of my Yoga beginnings, trying to become a YOGI using “The Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga” by Deepak Chopra and David Simon as my guide.  From pg. 27, one of my favorite quotes:  “You are what your deep, driving desire is.  As is your desire, so is your will.  As is your will, so is your deed.  As is your deed, so is your destiny.”

I am a family man.  I am a loving father… and I want to help humanity by showing everyone that what we put in our mouths has a huge influence on our health.

Good night.

A Promise

I am making a promise.  The promise is that I will practice YOGA and make it a basic part of my life.  As basic as food, water, breathing and love.

I will use “The Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga” by Deepak Chopra and David Simon as my 1st guide.

Good Night.

An Excellent Example of the Mind-Body Connection

Wiggle your fingers or toes and that is one example of the mind-body connection.  Another example is simply repeating to myself daily “I Can Walk… I Can Walk…” all day long.

But to help remind me to repeat this each and every day I will have some inspiration.  The inspiration will come from watching my daughter.  My daughter enters high school in September and she is a very young high school student…but she will take some of her classes at the local college!  The exciting part is that my daughter is EXCITED about taking the classes.  Watching her be excited about learning and watching her strive to do her very best will help me to do my very best.

Mind -body connection.

Results of My Meeting with a Personal Trainer

I like the saying “actions speak louder than words.”  Rather than me saying that the trainer worked with me on balance and on exercises to strengthen my leg muscles and rather than talk about how I feel excellent now that even more research shows that I am able to control MS with diet and vitamin D supplementation, and as Bob Cafaro did, even heal the scars…I will simply say that I purchased another 2 4 one hour sessions with the trainer.

My leg muscles are very tired.

Good night.

What does this mean for cancer?

Good News. Very Good News…

A read a story today from www.thevitamindcouncil.com about 2 cases of people, both with MS, who were able to freeze the progression of their disease through vitamin D supplementation.  Not through diet.

This just reinforces what I have been thinking, that the progression of my MS is stopped  (through both diet and vitamin D) .  Now, I just need to exercise.

I have a meeting with a personal trainer tomorrow at the gym.

Good night.

It Is All in my Head

My recovery is dependent on what I do.  My healing is dependent on what I put in my mouth or what I do not put in my mouth. I can NOT eat sugar or I can give in and eat a donut.  I got an MBA and worked my way through school, finishing with NO loans, OR I could have become a cocaine addict.  I drink my water each day and my scars are fading, or I could give up and not drink my water or better, I could give in and face the side effects of medication.

Remember, it is not fear of side effects that keeps me from the meds.  It is that I know that MS, like other illnesses, can be cured with determination, diet and prayer.  I am 100% sure.

Anyone want to make a bet?

Should We “Load Up” on Protein?

According to Dr. Joel Fuhrman in his book “Fasting and Eating for Health” we should not “load up” on protein.  From pg. 95 he writes “…high protein diets are linked with the development of serious diseases including cancer, heart disease, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus…and kidney stones.”

Simply put ” As human animals we are not biologically adapted to a high protein diet.”

I will try to build my leg muscles without protein supplementation.

Words of Encouragement

I did not achieve all that I wanted to today and I was also feeling very tired and a little sad.  I called a few friends of mine to talk, but the words that cheered me and inspired me were spoken by my friend Toni, the woman who was diagnosed with cancer and rather than do Chemo, quit all white flour, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, alcohol, etc. and is still alive today.  Cancer free.

What she said was 1.  That my battle to overcome and cure MS was very brave and unique and that not taking this “lying down” was very commendable.  2.  That God is everywhere…God is everywhere.
