“God Helps Those Who Help Themselves.” Source of Quote Unknown

I have been thinking about the above quote and I have also been thinking about God lately.  I have been thinking that God is with me all the time.  That God knows every thought I make and he knows every action I take.

Thinking about how God is with me all the time is very inspirational.  God being with me helps me to keep moving and keep trying and to keep on eating just vegetables, fruit, fish and nuts.

I am very tired.  Today was a good day water walking.  Now I am going to bed.

Why Do I Keep Thinking About This???

Lately, I have been thinking about an incident way back in the 5th grade on the school playground at lunch time recess.

One kid in my class wanted to fight, and he picked me.  (Remember, I am about 6’3. and I played football in high school.  I was a big kid.)

Anyway, he got two of his friends to hold my arms while he punched me over and over in the stomach.  I told him over and over that I did not want to fight.  He just kept punching.  Then, he started kicking me in the stomach, with his friends holding my arms.  The kicking in the stomach really hurt, so I told him “alright, let’s fight.”

He backed up and started making a big presentation about a punch he was about to throw.  I threw one punch, knocking him to the ground crying.  I gave him a big black eye.  His friends ran off to tell on each other and on him.  He got a big black eye and got suspended.  Nothing happened to me.

Why am I thinking about this now?

Keep Looking Forward…

I was in the gym pool exercising and a woman next to me said “I really didn’t feel like coming in today, sometimes I just don’t want to get out of bed.”

I thought about what this woman had said and I thought to myself, “I never think that way.  Every single day I think about how to improve.  Every single day.”

Tough Day…

The day started well…I was walking well and I drank 48oz. of water before I ate anything, I went to work and got a lot accomplished, but after lunch I got very tired.  (perhaps many of us do.)

I just have to keep looking ahead.  I exercise at the gym tomorrow.  I will water walk.  Including my water walking sessions, I have 3 gym sessions each week.

Improve each day.

Small Step Forward…

I drank my 68 oz. of water this morning.  Then I went water walking so now I am very tired.  I will try for the 68oz. of water tomorrow when I wake up on a work day, but my step forward will be a simple one.

My step forward will be that, aside from berries, blue or black or whatever, I will limit my daily fruit intake to 2 pieces per day.

This is another step in an attempt to limit carbohydrate intake.

Fantastic!

I drank 2 liters of water today, before I ate anything.  Almost 68oz of water.  I will be able to do it tomorrow, but work on Monday will be the test.  The water, among other things, helps with energy.  I think that the water also helps with blood sugar regulation.

“How Not to Die” written by Dr. Michael Greger

On pg. 347, Dr. Greger recommends Pistachio nuts for E.D.  On pg. 348, the doctor says that E. D. should actually stand for “early death.”  It is a sign that blood in the body if not flowing properly.  The man “should be considered a cardiac… patient until proved otherwise.”

And then…

“A study found that men who ate three to four handfuls of pistachios a day for three weeks …resulted in a significant improvement in erectile function…without any side effects.”  And this is not just a male issue…

Excellent Day of Diet and Exercise

I went water walking and exercising today.  What I hope is communicated by this blog is that:

MS can be treated and your body can be cured through what you put in your mouth.  Many diseases can be treated effectively but unprofitably, through what you eat and drink.

A Journey of 1000 Miles Starts with a Single Step

I am so pleased with each small achievement I make.

Achievement #1:

I drank 51oz. of water this morning before I ate anything.  I was then driven to work with no problem.  I will drink 3 1/2 liter bottles each morning for one week before I attempt to increase to 4 bottles each morning before work, exercise or food.

Achievement #2:

I ate Quinona on my salad for lunch and Water Cress on my salad for dinner.  These two vegetables were part of Bob Cafaro’s MS healing.  See his book “When the Music Stopped”.

I Did It

I achieved both goals I set for myself today.

The first was the water drinking.  I drank 51oz. of water before eating anything.  Let’s see how things go tomorrow.  (I have work.)

My second achievement was that I went water walking.  The pool opened so I was able to water walk for 2 hours and then I took a chair Yoga class.

I am very tired.  It is a good tired.  I will sleep soundly tonight and heal.
