Stretching and Deep Breathing Before Bed Is Significant

Perhaps it is the deep breathing, maybe it is the stretching, maybe it is the not eating before bed, maybe it is the water drinking (72oz. before I ate today) maybe it is the prayers, maybe…I don’t know what it is…but I am feeling and doing better.

I just finished my before bed stretching and breathing.

Today I went water walking, tomorrow is work.

Another Small Improvement…Or Two

So yesterday I noticed my left arm improving, today I noticed and tested my left leg.  Two small improvements…one, standing up and getting out of the bath was easier than I remembered.  This is saying a lot because I have been showering at the gym, not taking a bath at home.  But tonight, standing and getting out of the bath at home seemed a little less difficult.

The second small improvement was that to strengthen my left leg, I would climb two steps at once when coming up stairs.  I had to go slowly and hold the railing tightly, but two stairs at once with either leg.  My left was not really more difficult than the right.

I Have Noticed a Small Improvement…

The MS has weakened my left side more than my right.  The MS was first discovered by a swollen optic nerve in my left eye.  My left arm and left leg have been weaker than my right over the past 14 years.  In MS, it is traditional for one side to become weaker than the other.

Now, the movement of my left arm has improved noticeably.  I am slowly getting better.

Increase In Sardines

Pure and simple.  I have begun eating sardines 2 times a day, each and every day.

The thinking is that the sardines will do two things:

  1.  “Stabilize” my blood sugar.  (Not that I eat any sugar, anyway)
  2. Help to repair the myelin covering my nerves.

I have to go to deep breath and stretch.

I…Am Getting Better! and 1 Change

This healing is slow and painful.  Sometimes I feel like I am pushing a car up a hill with its break on.  But I am actually getting better!  I woke this morning about 4 a.m. and I was walking around the house so well!

One change…I am stretching each night before bed as well as when I wake.  That is now two sessions of deep breathing and stretching each day.

Good Day Exercising, Water Drinking and Water Walking…Now I am Very Tired

The title of this post says it all.  What I am doing now is fighting muscle atrophy in my legs.  My MS is not getting worse, despite what was told would happen if I ever, ever stopped injecting the medicine.

The progression of this disease has stopped and by not eating any sugar or white flour, exercising, breathing deeply and drinking lots of water, I am slowly getting better.

No meds and no sugar or white flour and I am getting better.  What does this mean for many diseases?

Another Small Improvement

Tomorrow morning before eating, I will attempt to drink 24X3 or…72oz of water.  I am going to the gym in the morning, but I have to do an errand or two before I go, so I will wear an adult diaper instead of underpants.

I wore an adult diaper today, just because I drank 48oz before eating or going to work.  I wore it all day and never had to use it, even in the car ride to work.

Good Day, Several Improvements….

I went water walking today, so now I am very tired.  I did make two small improvements however.

The first Improvement is that now I drink water out of  24oz bottles.  So each morning when I drink two bottles of water before eating, I drink 48 oz. of water before food.  Before I would drink two 16oz bottles, or 32 oz. before food.

The second improvement is that I found an inexpensive place to buy organic Quinona.  pronounced “Kin-wa”.

I take each and every bit of improvement that I can.

Put quite simply, not only do I drink a lot of water each day, not only do I avoid sugar, high fructose corn syrup and gluten, not only do I exercise 3 or 4 days per week, but I pray constantly.

My scars are healing, I limit my saturated fat intake to about 10 grams per day max so new scars are not forming and I believe per the book above, that God is everywhere, knows all and is a part of everything.

I also see the future.  Give me a year or two.  I see myself taking leisurely walks holding hands with my wife.  Soon.

I spent the day thinking: the scars in my brain are healing, the scars in my optic nerves are healing, the scars that trouble my walking are healing, the scars that trouble my left side are healing…

And the scars are healing.
