Excellent Workout…

Every day, every single day, I make progress.

The progress that I made today was that aside from drinking 96oz of water, and aside from 3 hours of water walking, aside from my yoga, I was able to tell a gentleman who I met in the pool that “I am healing.”  He told me, “yes, you are healing…never give up” and I was able to say again “I am healing…”

Remember, the elimination of white flour and sugar from my diet is the same thing a friend of mine did to cure her cancer when she was diagnosed.  Elimination of sugar and white flour cures cancer.

Planning My Gym Workout…

Well, I have 6 hours at the gym or with my caregiver tomorrow.  I will do a few light errands, then the majority of my time will be spent water drinking or water walking.

While I am drinking the water I will simply repeat…”I am healing…”  “The scars in my brain are healing”  “The scars in my spine are healing…”  I will also breath deeply.

I am healing.

I am not a medical professional.

One More Arrow In My Quiver…

I finished this week’s short fast (24hrs) at 5pm.  Some of the immediate benefits were:

  1.  I drank my 96 oz. of water today on an empty stomach.
  2. My body spent time healing and not digesting.
  3. I saved money.  (I did not eat anything so the family food bill was down for the week.)
  4. The habit of fasting has gotten me in the habit of eating lightly.  80% of stomach capacity max.  Every meal.

I am healing.

Beginning of a 24 Hour Fast…

Today I had a “light” early dinner (5 pm) and so I have begun my weekly 24 hour fast.  Tomorrow, I will make an excuse to not eat my breakfast (my wife and kids are leaving early in the morning) so once I say “oh, I will eat it in a bit” then I will trash the breakfast once they leave.

Then, I have to figure out an excuse for lunch and if I can do an excuse for dinner, I might be able to attain a 36 hour fast.

I am healing.  Every day, I am healing.

Well, I will have a good healing sleep.

I am healing.

An Excellent YOGA Book…

I bought an excellent illustrated YOGA book today; YOGA for Beginners by Mark Ansari and Liz Lark.  The book covers breathing, meditation, intermediate and beginner exercises for those (like me) who need the extra assistance.  Excellent.

Almost Time for the Feast…

Alright.  I just have to remember that I prefer hunger.  I do not want to be rude but I also do not want to eat too much or eat the wrong foods.  (Canned or processed foods, sugar, wheat, etc.)

I will basically eat a big salad, raw fish and roasted vegetables for dinner.  Above all else, I will chew slowly and enjoy with my family.

Here I go.

Learn to Love Hunger…

I am serious about going to bed on an empty stomach.  I think it will be easy tonight, just what do I do for the Thanksgiving Day “feast” tomorrow?

I do not want to be rude.  I will eat lots of vegetables, fish and some fruit for dessert.  I will chew slowly and try not to eat too much.

Well, Happy Thanksgiving.

Excellent Day at the Gym, But…

I had an excellent day at the gym.  I water walked for about 4 hours, drank 96 oz of water, bought more dried blueberries and a new yoga book to guide my exercise at home, but I broke my fast.

I broke my fast because my wife was worried and wanted me to eat before I went to the gym to exercise.  My main concern is that I sleep soundly on an empty stomach.  I want my body to work on healing and not on digesting.

I will do a weekly 24 to 36 hour fast, I will just do it in secret.

I am healing.

I Have Just Begun My Next 36 Hour Fast…

Well, here I go.

I ate an early vegetable and kinwa (quinona) dinner and that will be my last meal until wed. morning.  I will do water walking, deep breathing, water drinking and sleep and heal some tomorrow as I sleep.

I am healing.

My First 36 hour Fast Is Complete

I think that I will fast for 24 or 36 hours each week for the rest of my life.  The fast was very easy, I never even felt hungry.  The fast does take determination, though.

The mission is to give my body time to “heal” rather than digest food.  Fasting will also help to lower or lessen blood sugar.

Continuous improvement.  I am healing.
